Comment BookBelow are a few comments from past guests at Lea House :)Thank you for a lovely weekend in your home. The breakfasts were lovely, and the bedrooms were very comfy. I liked the area and hope to return in the future. I would hope to stay with you again, and will recommend you to friends. Jackie Hambling, Nita & David Hudson Many thanks for looking after us so well, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and in particular your cooking, which was a delight on the palate. Bryn and Jan - 3rd Nov 2006 Many thanks once again for the wonderful stay at Lea House, and for the use of the OS map. We spent an extremely pleasant afternoon at Symonds Yat by the river, and saw our first family of wild peregrine falcons at the RSPB viewpoint. We attempted the journey back you had recommended and, passing Tintern Abbey, the jaws dropped. Outstanding. One beautiful Severn Bridge crossing later, we found ourselves once more coasting merrily on the M4. William & Anne - 19th July 2006 Both Jez and myself both wanted to thank you for a most enjoyable stay at Lea House. You were the perfect hostess - enjoyed the chats - that's something you don't get in normal bed and breakfast houses - it was nice that you took time out to chat to your guests. The room was 'home from home' and the food was restaurant quality - especially liked the stuffed courgette and the courgette fritters!! It was just a shame that we couldn't have stayed a little while longer, but it has been a pleasure meeting you. Nicki and Jez Procter - Aug 2006 Thank you Caroline for a perfect stay, it was like home from home and you were like a mother to us four lads. The room was very big and comfortable and the breakfast was very nice and filling. Would definately recommend and hope to see you again same time next year with a bit of luck !!!! I'm sure everyone leaves your B and B with the same feeling we had about you, which is that you are a friend. Linda Larson Singer Los Angeles - October 1, 2004 at 12:05:50 (MST) Of all the places where we have bed and breakfasted, Lea House comes out on top of the list. Comfort is at a premium with lovely furnishings and a good selection of toiletries in each guestroom. The food is delicious with home-made bread and preserves. Great advice is also given as to where to visit and what to do. Janet and Greg Wood Ipswich - Sunday, November 9, 2003 at 09:00:20 (MST) After a brief search on the internet for b&b's that allow dogs, I stumbled across 'Lea House'. Caroline could not have been any more welcoming, if like us you're always abit apprehensive about allowing your dogs into someone elses home, particularly with 2 large labradors, we need not have worried as together with Caroline's two dogs we were made to feel part of the family. We enjoyed our stay so much we even cancelled our next port of call in the brecons to stop over one more evening. All in all it was a perfect couple of days and we will definately be back... with the dogs! Thank you Tony & Rachael tony baxter <tony@clockworkmouse.net> bristol, uk - Monday, July 21, 2003 at 09:00:20 (MST) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lea House. Caroline is the perfect hostess/concierge/proprietor. Our rooms were comfortable and lovely (best bed we had while in England!). And the homemade breads and jams along with the fresh juice made the breakfast a feast. On our next visit, we definitely want to try Caroline's dinner cuisine. Thank you for a memorable stay. Brian, Debbie & Rebecca Jones <dj522@earthlink.net> San Ga, CA USA - Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 17:33:07 (MST) Lea House is more than home-from-home - it's cosy, clean, comfortable and friendly and best of all - you get looked after! On entering Lea House you immediately experience the beautiful little garden, the peaceful lounge/dining room, spacious bedrooms all wonderfully decorated and filled with character and of course, the delicious breakfast - everything from homemade breads and preserves to freshly squeezed fruit juices....Marvellous! Every effort is made to make guests feel welcome - the attention to detail is second to none. My husband and I have stayed in a good few B & B's over the years but we have to say that Caroline has made Lea House one of the best...Thank-you - we hope to see you again soon. Anthony & Marieanne Curtis - Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at 04:23:18 (MST) What lovely hospitality, your homemade food was absolutley delicious. As a retreat, I had a really quiet and relaxing time. Thank you so much for sharing your home. Martin Allbright Malvern, - Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 14:00:26 (MST) Our family had a wonderful time at the Lea House. During our tour of southern England, it was easily the nicest B&B we stayed in – spacious, comfortable rooms decorated and furnished beautifully, a warm and convivial parlor for the guests, and a congenial and charming atmosphere throughout. The location was quite convenient for a vast area of touring, and we could easily have allocated four days for exploring each of the points of the compass, using Lea House as our home base. Our hosts, who have lived in the U.S., understood and anticipated our Yankee needs most graciously! Thank you Caroline & David -- we'll be back! Peter Richards <clinton.nurseries@snet.net> Killingworth, CT USA - Thursday, January 09, 2003 at 12:31:25 (MST) Thank you for a lovely stay, it was a very happy New Year for all of us. Hope to see you again soon. xx Madeleine & Jessica Holtby - Thursday, January 09, 2003 at 02:29:23 (MST) Thoroughly enjoyable two day stay in idyllic surroundings.
